CBD in your coffee, is it good for you?
19th Sept 2019.
With so many different coffee combinations, from iced americano to soy caramel lattes, it’s no surprise that CBD has made its way into our cups.
Cannabidiol coffees are piping hot right now, but should we be drinking them?
Let’s start with caffeine.
The caffeine in coffee helps to get our blood moving. This results in improving our mood, metabolism, mental and physical performance. It does this by increasing alertness by blocking the effects of adenosine, a brain chemical that makes you feel tired. At the same time, it triggers the release of adrenaline, the “fight-or-flight” hormone associated with increased energy. Although, this can lead to amplifying anxiety, a common side effect.
While the positive effects are very prevalent, we could still end up with the ‘coffee jitters’.
CBD coffee may be the solution to this?
Coffee has seen a huge growth in popularity and now CBD is catching up.
Scientists have been studying the interaction of CBD on the negative effects of Caffeine. A quick Google search will find all you need to know.
How do you take it?

Will it make my coffee taste weird?
It shouldn’t yet this will depend on the amount and if you choose flavoured CBD you’re able to create your own coconut latte. It will slowly float as oil doesn’t mix with water, but is better in milk.
If you’re looking to give this a try to make sure you use a reputable CBD company with lab reports on-hand. Pair this with a nice coffee and you're good to go. If you’re looking at trying your own CBD infused coffee we recommend choosing a flavoured spray from our range, at 300mg to see how you get on.
